The Forest Preserve

Forest Preserve Set in the center of the town, spreading out toward peaceful, rolling farmlands and streams, the forest preserve is a charming sprawl of rocky hills, old forest growth, meandering paths, scenic overlooks, and dark, forbidden secrets nestled between the stones of long-ruined foundations. Wait, what? Yes, the forest preserve is one of the oldest, most untouched parts of the towns, but within its borders is also some of the most dangerous territory. Electronics and communications devices cease to work. Strange, misshapen creatures appear between the trees. The stone foundations and ruins of buildings and towers centuries old rest amid the leaves, along with hidden holes and caverns that are easy to miss in the dark. Mists roll in, leaving explorers completely disoriented and sometimes miles away from where they started...explore at your own risk. [mapped]/[unmapped]
