Game Rules and Posting

Primary rule of the game - also known as General RP etiquette
1. First and foremost - don't be a dick. That's all. Simple, right? The expectation is that we are all adults and will conduct ourselves accordingly. That means we follow the basic rules of RP. No godmodding, what happens IC stays IC. Toxic behavior and continued violation of this primary rule will result in you being asked to leave the game.

2. IC v/s OOC : What happens IC stays there. No crossing the streams. Period. Anything outside of this will be considered godmodding.

3. No godmodding.

4. Be an adult. If you don't want to tag someone - fine. Don't. But don't complain about it in the comm or to others. If personal grudges and beefs get as far as the mods, we will intervene. Nobody wants that.

5. Improv! You intend to do something with your character but you're not 100% sure it's ok. What now? Answer - Please ask a mod. We can't stress this enough. Like with big neon arrows and flashy lights.

While the game is set in a constantly shifting environment, your mods are allowing you a LOT of leeway to create settings and build monsters of your own. This leeway comes with the understanding that you will set things according to the intent and established setting of the game. Failure to do this will result in mods asking you to revise.

In short, don't make us regret this and pull away that freedom. We don't want to. Seriously.

Powers, applications and AC

1. Powers - Powers are limited by the Overlords who have brought you here. The mods will review your spec sheet and determine if any threaten the balance of the game. Telepathy requires a permissions post. Whatever powers you list in your sheet are not subject to change without discussing with a mod ahead of time.

Any alterations to your character's powers in game must be approved by the mods.

2. Character limitations - Current cap is FOUR. Bear in mind, all of your characters are subject to our very easygoing activity check, so you have to demonstrate everyone tagging around at least once a month. Character squatting is frowned on, so please be respectful of other people.

3. Application - The spec sheet is simple, but it must be filled out and approved before you join the game. The mods can ask for revisions and tweaks to both powers and history if what you have submitted is a little too bare bones. Remember, this is a reference sheet for other players if they're coming in completely canon blind to your character.

4. Activity Requirements - We're really relaxed around these parts, real life is a thing that exists, and we totally get it. However, to keep players from adding and forgetting currently the AC is at least one post per month or at least 5 tags in one thread. If you need to go on hiatus, please contact a mod.

Character reclaiming Did your character idle out? Did you apply and drop and think you want to come back? Perfect. Just comment on your application that you would like to reclaim, make sure you're information is up to date and you're set!

5. Canon updates - They are allowed, but you must submit an updated spec sheet and have it approved. Your character will vanish from the city for three days before being returned.

6. Death penalties - Yes, your character can die in game. But if they do be prepared for penalties. Your character will wake up in a random location - they can require rescue or fight for their own freedom. Buried under a collapsed building, stuck on a tower surrounded by monsters - we're leaving the specifics to you but there are a few constants.

a. There will be a penalty - your character will lose something for at least a week to a time span of no longer than a month. That thing can be a sense, an ability, a memory. Something that can be taken and returned.
b. Anyone who dies in game will have to remain dead for three calendar days. (that's calendar days for us players and not the characters in game)
c. Again - we're allowing a lot of leeway here. Failure to keep things within boundaries will require the rules to tighten up.
